Overview
Codenamed Mercury
Mercury is an as-yet unreleased NNTP news reader. The fastest reader currently available (being highly multi-threaded helps tremendously), this application will be converted to OPENSTEP and released as a possible add-on to PopOver 2.0.
The original test bed for a dynamic architecture similar to the one found in PopOver, Mercury utilized early versions of the Foundation framework to create a cross-platform, highly versatile and robust NNTP news client.
Mercury was written with the assitance of David Mank and Jeff Gerber, two long-time NeXT developers.
