History

NeXplorer was originally written to cater to the needs of the NEXTSTEP/OPENSTEP user/developer community for making their experience on Windows less painful. The idea was to provide them with an OPENSTEP tool that would almost completely replace the Windows Explo(d)er and would have the intuitive and easy to use interface of the familiar Workspace Manager.

With the introduction of Rhapsody and Apple's commitment to release the YellowBox for Windows free of charge, traditional Windows users will soon be able to experience a different, far more superior kind of user experience. Mac users can run NeXplorer under Rhapsody and will soon be able to run it under MacOS.

NeXplorer is written by Shehryar Khan and is available FREE of charge. Current releases are for OPENSTEP for Windows and YellowBox for Windows only. Versions of NeXplorer for OPENSTEP Mach and Rhapsody will be released soon. A version for MacOS will be released shortly after YellowBox for MacOS is released.
